Gallagher Gives Back

Gallagher is known for helping our customers look good on the outside with sharp, high-quality uniforms. We also value helping not just customers, but everyone, feel good on the inside too. Our legacy of over 124 years wouldn’t have happened based on uniforms alone. Part of it is because the Gallagher family leadership team believes our service-first approach shouldn’t only extend to our customers, it’s also about giving back to our associates and the communities in which we work and live.

Here are a few examples of what we are up to this Holiday season.

South Michigan Food Bank

Recently Gallagher has supported the South Michigan Food Bank in their efforts to enhance the quality of life for those struggling with food insecurity in southwest Michigan. The South Michigan Food Bank has been around since 1982, and just in 2021 has provided millions of pounds of food throughout eight counties! Everybody deserves access to a warm meal, especially over the holidays.

Here at Gallagher, we love hosting friendly competitions around the office and plant. To support the South Michigan Food Bank, Gallagher did football squares for the MSU vs U of M game in October. Any leftover squares were also assigned to the food bank and Gallagher agreed to match whatever 50/50 contribution was. In the end, we were able to donate over $400 to the food bank between staff and Gallagher donations!

Now we are inviting everyone to participate in helping put food on the table for the most vulnerable in our community. Please take a moment to visit the South Michigan Food Bank website. Consider supporting our community in any way you can–either by donating or volunteering. Maybe even make some friendly competition of it. Either way, know you are positively impacting the community this holiday season.

Board Level Support 

We are active members of the community throughout the year, but this holiday season consider giving back to the community by being a provocative part of it! 

Gallagher gives back to the community by providing board-level support to many organizations throughout the Battle Creek area. The Miller Foundation, Battle Creek Unlimited, The Barn Theater, Battle Creek Area Catholic Schools, and the MSU Alumni Club of Calhoun County. 

We are also a sponsor for the Barn Theater Christmas Cabaret, a festive musical celebration featuring all of your favorite Christmas carols and holiday songs. What better way to celebrate the holiday spirit and gather with the community?

Donations

On top of our donations to the Southwest Michigan Food Bank and our support to the many organizations throughout the Battle Creek area, we are invested in the growth and development of Southwest Michigan. 

That’s why Gallagher gives back by making charitable donations to the community. We have made donations to the Battle Creek Brass Band and The Burma Center to name a few.
