“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.” -Benjamin Franklin

The Gallagher’s have been busy learning this spring!
Pat Gallagher just returned from the 4th Annual TRSA Safety Summit in St. Louis, MO and brought back a slew of great ideas. This event featured a full day of keynote presentations and interactive breakout sessions designed to give commercial laundry executives valuable take-home insights to increase safety in their facilities. One idea that will hopefully be hitting our production floor soon is the 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes take 20 seconds to look 20 feet around you and look for any safety hazards or violations. Pat also wants to utilize more of our Safety Mats in our own facility – these mats have great messages on them reminding everyone to keep Safety in mind.
Kevin Gallagher was 1 of 70 students to complete his first year of TRSA’s PMI Training (Production Management Institute). This educational program provides instruction from some notable industry leaders and opportunity for special projects. They discuss emerging laundry technology issues, both in the wash aisle and finishing operations, financial issues and return on investment. Some of the special projects this year included troubleshooting washroom chemistry and designing an online plan for a laundry.
John Gallagher just returned from a quick trip to Kansas City where he reunited with his SWIFT group. This group gets together annually to share some of their “Best” ideas for the year. They also enjoyed touring a local laundry, ACE Imagewear.
With all this knowledge, more good things are bound to come from the Gallagher’s! These are exciting times for our company. New products, new clients and continued innovations are always invigorating us!
