Mike Gallagher retires.
After 36 years with the family business, Mike Gallagher, President of Gallagher Uniform, announces his retirement.
Following graduation from Michigan State University, Mike was the first of the four Gallagher boys to officially start working full time for the company, at that time known as Gallagher Industrial Laundry. He worked alongside his father, Ronald Gallagher, and learned the company inside and out. Mike was soon joined by his younger brothers and Ronald Gallagher was happy to entrust the company with his son’s and begin his own retirement.
While Mike Gallagher was President the company grew substantially, moved from their downtown Battle Creek location to their current location in Fort Custer, and changed their name to Gallagher Uniform. Throughout his career, Mike had many different roles at the company: Customer Service Manager, IT/IS, and Human Resources to name a few. His passion was helping others succeed and he was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Mike’s many years of dedication to the family business are appreciated. We wish him a happy, wonderful and well-deserved retirement. While Mike will continue to come to the office to share his expertise and assist with special projects, much of his time will now be spent enjoying his new retirement with his wife, Kathy. The high school sweethearts will have plenty of time to spend together, hopefully vacationing and enjoying their grandchildren!
